Fame system needs to be changed
I found this an interesting thought. The fame system for gaining fame is very well, but it should not be shared between characters. Lets give an example.
My group (3AM eastern time) gets to hoh because no one is on and gets a lot of fame due to no challenge, and a few of the members are now rank three.
Being rank 3 signifies that you are "good", and now any one of those people could make a char and be "rank 3", even though they have never played the character before, let alone knowing how to work the character they earned the fame with.

Fame in my opinion is good where it stands. it's there to show how good a player is at PvP. if your good enough to get to rank 3, then your good enough to get there with any character. Part of PvP is knowing you class and you teamates classes and playing with them as needed. Also you need to be able to know your opponents classes really well too. This shows your over all knowledge of the game and imo anyone with this knowledge will be able to successfully play any profession after a few hours of practice, for he already know the skills of choice.
On a side note: on thing that should be changed is there should be an emote to show your rank at rank 1-10 because all too often you get someone that says they're rank 3 but when you start playing with them you find that they know nothing of PvP except for the fact that they would like to be at or around rank 3

Yeah, pretty much. It's nearly impossible to get 350+ fame by simply screwing around with pre-made characters. If you have that much then you've atleast enough experience to contribute enough so that even if you've never played the character, you can still help out. I think the shared fame makes sense. Guild war's isn't all about builds (It helps to have a good one but after that theres more to consider). They need to know energy management/how damage works/listening skills, something that is carried on from a character to the next.

Plus...if it was restricted to characters, what about those of us who constantly delete/remake PvP characters?

To me, fame is either, 1. You have a good guild that can hold hoh, or 2. you have no life, and get a measly 1-6 fame per time of going into tombs.
It's nearly not skill at all, if your guild is good and can hold it, you gain plenty, and blaaam, you get carried on their back. If you have no life, it's gonna take longer, but your still a lifeless person with high fame and no talent.
But anyhow, i don't think the fame system should change. All it gives to my knowledge is a simple emote.
